With Blodtaake, :BOLVERK: deliver their third album, following Uaar (2022) and Svarte sekunder (2023). The band has grown tighter as a unit, and this release marks a clear shift — and for the first time, all the lyrics are in Norwegian.

Narrenschiff's vocals are given free rein across his wide register, meaning more clean vocals than before, and new drummer Hammarr has also left his mark on the material. Six tracks, each over six minutes, plus two bonus tracks on CD, cassette and digital. The cover is once again painted by Kenneth Lien, the mix is signed by Magnus «Devo» Andersson, and the result is Extreme Norwegian Metal that stretches from the melodic Solstafir end to the brutal Marduk end — now hitting the mark even more precisely.
